Installing the Medulla agent

Background
During the initial installation of Medulla, agents must be generated before they can be downloaded and installed on the workstations or servers to be monitored.
On-Premise Installation
1. Generate Medulla agents
If you have just completed a new On-Premise installation of Medulla, you must generate the Windows and Linux agents before proceeding with any installation.

Installing the agents
1. Access entity management
From the Medulla interface:
Administration → Entity Management2. Download the agent
Click on the agent download icon.
Then select the corresponding operating system:
- Windows
- Linux
3. Install the agent
Next, launch the agent installation on the relevant node or workstation.
Installation in a SaaS environment
For SaaS environments, agents are already generated and available directly from the Medulla interface.
Simply:
- Go to
Administration → Entity Management - Click the download icon
- Select the desired OS
- Install the agent on the target machine
Uninstalling the Medulla agent
Versions earlier than 5.5.2
To uninstall a Medulla agent on a version earlier than 5.5.2, follow the procedure available in the dedicated FAQ:

- Check the network connectivity between the node and the Medulla server after installation.
